ReadySteel sterile, stainless steel K-files are manufactured from square steel wire that is twisted. Square symbol on end of plastic handle, safe-ended noncutting tip, and silicone stoppers. It prepares dentin effectively both in filing motion (up and down) and when rotated. Uses: Exploration, canal patency, establishing glide path, cleaning and shaping, and apical gauging. Small K-files are particularly good for the initial preparation of very narrow canals. Each instrument should be checked for symmetry of the helical structure before introducing it into the canal.
